The Glenrothes 18 Year Old

18 year old single malt from Glenrothes, released as part of the Soleo Collection. This series was named after the process of sun-drying grapes for the production of sherry in Jerez, and as such you should expect plenty of sherry notes throughout the range. This one features a very high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned oak cask matured whisky at its core..

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Decadent vanilla and orange, with hints of cherry and almond developing.

Palate: Still packing plenty of dried fruit notes, alongside crisp pear and a spicy touch of stem ginger.

Finish: Lasting sweetness of vanilla and pear, with peppery flourishes.
